Beer Scene

Beer Scene – act now as though this were some perpendicular parallel universe, imagine if you will that on each weekend for the last 20 years you went to Walgreens for your health care needs. They were the only store you could go to where you could get all the medications and other medications that you needed for your health. Well there was a problem. You lived in a big city. It was very convenient to go to Walgreens, but in order to do so you had to live in a big city.

Suggestion number one is to find a discount unit in your local grocery store. If you are older than 50, you lived in a large city, or you had health insurance, you may remember when the drugstore across the street, which was also a part of the Walgreens store, offered discount units. Yes, I am talking about the old drugstore model. They would give you coupons and then certifications such as being able to buy 30% off your entire balance, and then offer the balance as a deposit, so you could get your 30% off and whatever else you wanted.

Well those have been brought to you. I am talking about today’s beer market. The beer market cross bunches with everything else, and now they are cooking up more and more coupons assubstations, that if you use them, you will get free food, or something else of value. You will not need to do this if you have a family or small business. Everyone’s trying to get rich and make a profit.

One other thing, almost everyone is doing something to promote their cause or brand. I am not tipping down the alcohol free cause, but everything else is right up there. When you walk into a club, and you have a coupon from your guy, that saves you from having to drink, and you will not have to pay for your drinks. Everyone is trying to push an advantage, and you will find that your chances of getting what you want, increase if you have a coupon.

Now, I am not suggesting that you continue to drink for free, but that you use your coupons, to the fullest advantage possible.

First of all, look where you restink. Only buy things you really need, and only items that you have coupons for. Shop at discount stores, used book stores, garage sales, flea markets, close-out venues, etc.

Of course you can’t go to your local Wal-Mart and say “Hey, nice day, what do you have for sale?” and pick out a bunch of random things to throw together, because there are only a few things that you need. But you should be able to find most things at an Ale House, or at a discount store like discount CDs, or discount Polo Ralph Lauren, or at a family heritage center.

shopping for food should be fun, shopping for food should be a treat, and it should be a way to connect with your community.

And shopping for food should be fun… for yourself, and your family.
